In 2020, Colliers conducted a poll to determine the real estate purchase preferences of buyers.

74% of the people who answered chose Laguna, Cavite, or Batangas as the next place to buy a horizontal unit. The market thinks that Southern Luzon is a good place to invest in real estate outside of Metro Manila.

Colliers said that 11,900 house-and-lot (H&L) and lot-only units were sold in Laguna, Cavite, and Batangas in 2021. This was 31% less than the previous year. In 2021, these provinces made up 26% of all horizontal market take-up in all provinces.

26% of the respondents want to buy homes in Pampanga or Bulacan. Colliers thinks that the expansion of Clark International Airport and the completion of the New Manila International Airport will make these provinces popular places to live.

Colliers has observed that projects which are in proximity to upcoming infrastructure developments and are within or near townships have recorded strong take-up in the Northern/Central Luzon market in 2021.
